Ahh... back to my own reliable, not-$5-for-30-minutes internet service.
We spent the weekend in Seattle for our anniversary. There were a lot of people there. We were having a great time, until Saturday afternoon. Saturday we went to see the Bodies exhibit. It was so sweeet. Then we took the monorail to the EMP and the Sci-Fi Museum. EMP was okay, we liked the Sci-Fi museum better. Then I made the awful mistake of eating a sausage for lunch while we were at Pike Street market. That pretty much ruined the rest of my day, because after that I was nauseated. Until about 3 am. So, the dinner at Todai was ruined, and I had to send The Husband out in the middle of the night to find some mint tea.
I think if we do this trip again, we probably won't stay at the Westin. Nice room, but not free internet, sky high room service prices, and a whistling TV. For $200 a night, I guess I expect too much. :-)
My other (not unexpected) peeve: Starbucks! Everywhere!! Hotel: only serves Starbucks coffee. There were only a couple of non-Starbucks coffee shops downtown, and they were both *closed*.
When we got back, we found out that Coralie had gotten sick. When we picked her up, she had *no voice*! Wow, I never thought I'd see the day when my daughter couldn't talk! So peculiar.
Today, she was really being a brat... all day. Much worse than I've had to deal with in a long time.
Still, it was good to get out of town for a couple of days... plus I got Coralie pink cowboy boots for Christmas, the price of which I will not reveal. :-)
