A movie meme...
1. The last movie you saw in a theater, and current release movie you still want to see.
That would be 'Crank'... and I still want to see 'The Descent'.
2. The last movie you rented/purchased for home viewing.
Currently, I have 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' from Netflix (saw it in the theater, but liked it enough to rent). Recent purchases include 'V for Vendetta', 'Treasure Planet', and 'Cinderella'.
3. A movie that made you laugh out loud.
Most recently, 'Crank', because Jason Statham's bare ass cheek is hilarious for some reason. ;-)
'The Princess Bride' and 'Men in Tights' always deliver laughs reliably.
4. A movie that made you cry.
Hmm... well I had to really think about this one, because I usually cry at the TV, not so much at movies... 'Ladder 49' and (go ahead and laugh) 'Beaches'.
5. A movie that was a darling of the critics, but you didn't think lived up to the hype.
I actually don't have much of an answer here, because usually movies that are darlings of the critics are not even remotely of interest to me...unless 'Star Wars- The Phantom Menace' was enjoyed by critics, because that one really sucked ass.
6. A movie you thought was better than the critics.
Definitely 'V for Vendetta'... I *love* this movie!
7. Favorite animated movie.
I really enjoyed 'Treasure Planet', but 'Monsters Inc' is also a favorite.
8. Favorite Disney villain.
Definitely the stepmother from 'Cinderella'.
9. Favorite movie musical.
A tie between 'The Wizard of Oz' and the original 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'.
10. Favorite movies of all time (up to five).
Too many to list... 'The Lord of the Rings' series, 'Harry Potter' series, 'V for Vendetta', 'A Nightmare Before Christmas', 'Ladder 49'...
I like almost every movie I watch to some degree! I watch a lot of documentaries and foreign movies, but I rarely remember the titles, so the above list probably doesn't seem very diverse... :-)
Thanks to The Gouda for the tag, and I cheerfully pass this on to Bella and Carmen.
