Keelan tried to eat plastic screws today, which were unwisely left by my husband sitting on top of a plastic bag that was within his reach. He managed to get two into his mouth before I got to him and cleared them out. My hubby is *not* detail oriented (which is rather odd because he's an RN... but he's also very book smart), so it's been quite an experience for him, having a son who is such a busybody all the time. Coralie never put things in her mouth when she was a baby, and she never really got into things, so having to really *watch* the baby is somewhat new. I call Keelan 'crazy man' now. He's totally fearless and drawn like a magnet to things like outlets, cords, and mystery fuzz (what is this? hmm... I better eat it.) on the carpet. He would absolutely go headfirst down the stairs if we didn't have gates in place. He can already climb up with no help.
Miss Coralie's doctor is having us halve her medication dose. Hopefully that will help, because I really don't want to have another day like yesterday anytime soon.
I'm thinking maybe I should compile and post a list of STUPID THINGS PEOPLE DO WHEN THEY DRIVE. Like when stopping to let a car out of a parking lot turns into three cars because the next two cars punch it and tailgate the first one out. Or like cutting me off and then going 5 under the speed limit. Why is it that I'm the only one who can drive?

my daughter put everything in her mouth when she was a baby. it was sooo hard to keep an eye on her at all times and keep little things far away from her. I used to call my mom or sister before visiting them and ask them to check the floors for dropped pennies, etc. before we stopped by - I was that neurotic about it.

I keep thinking, 'well, at least when he starts walking his interest will be in things at eye level rather than on the floor'... but that has it's own pitfalls LOL.
