Hmm... Somethings Missing...

I think I mentioned recently that we've had some really windy days... well, I sat down in front of our patio door to play with Keelan this afternoon, when I realized I could see into our neighbors yard. A whole panel of our back fence was gone! Fallen into our neighbors yard. The entire back fence is really old (for a wood fence) and has been shaky for some time, but now is not a good time for it to collapse. We don't have enough money to replace the whole thing, so hubby is going to buy a single cheap wood panel as a patch until we can save enough to have the whole thing done. It was so rotten, he pulled the whole panel apart with his bare hands. Fortunately, tax time is coming (refund!) and we may get some $ from hubby's grandparents. Hopefully that will help us recover from our financial misdeeds from last year. Our plan is to (hopefully) pay off the Jellybean (minivan) and replace our carpet (circa 1984 carpet!), and if we can afford it, the fence. The remaining fence is propped up with some metal stakes we had, a la white trash, so hopefully it will hold for a while.
