The Wee Tree

Well, we have now acquired our Christmas tree. It's a skinny little Noble Fir, a tree I normally don't care for, but a good looking tree nevertheless. Couldn't find any good Grand Firs... most were too asymmetrical, bald on one side, or losing their needles. Now my daughter is obsessed with watering the tree. ('Feed the tree daddy!!')
Every year there are Christmas light displays at the local race track. Every year they raise the price of admission, but the displays stay the same (hmm...). Now, it's $14 per car. We decided to take the shorties to see the lights, mainly because they can go in their jammies and we don't have to get out of the car. Everything was A-ok until halfway through, when my little son decided he was frantically hungry and started to wail. Right at that moment, Coralie lost interest in the lights and started to cry because she wanted to go home. Problem: there's no way out of the track until you get to the end. So, we had to roll (yes, roll) through the rest of the lights with two screaming kids in the back seat. Fun! Then Keelan wailed all the way home! More fun!
