Coffee

I. Love. Coffee. In all its various incarnations-- cookies, ice cream, candy, regular coffee, decaf, and of course, frilly espresso drinks. What I do not like is STARBUCKS. Starbucks is the 7-11 of coffee. They are on every street corner. Starbucks is (still!) trendy... that must be why people will still pay $4 for a mediocre latte. Folks, if I'm paying $4 for a latte, it might as well be good coffee. I used to be a faithful patron of Starbucks, until one day I happened to get a coffee drink at another establishment. It was then that I realized just how *bitter* Starbucks coffee is. Now, the only times I go there is during summer (for the occasional Frappuccino). In my neck of the woods, the super tasty alternative to Starbucks is Coffee People. Now THAT'S good coffee... but I've also found that a lot of the mom & pop shops have great coffee too. I'm no longer a victim of good marketing! :-)

You're right. It's the most bitter coffee I've ever tasted.

Starbucks Coffee tastes bitter and burnt because it is over-roasted.

The reason they are so popular is because they have marketed their syrupy specialty drinks very well. Their coffee straight would never make them the millions that they make yearly.

You can have delicious coffee without the sweet, high calorie syrups. Try Java Queen International's Freshly Roasted Gourmet Coffee in one of the 50 varietals and blends or find your favorite flavored coffee in one of over 110 flavors that we roast for you.

Save Money buying directly from the roaster. And if you just have to have your syrups, we have all of those too!
