I was driving to the office this morning, and I saw that a nearby rock & barkdust lot was, for some reason, selling christmas trees. A huge sign on one close to the curb said '$50'! $50!! And it was just a regular old tree, not some stupendous specimen. We cut out the middle man and get our own off of a tree farm. I think we paid $30 last year, which is not cheap but still better than 50 bucks for a tree that lasts a few weeks.
I officially gave my notice at the office today. Assuming they don't somehow talk me out of it, in one month I will be a stay at home mom. The idea of voluntarily not working is totally weird to me, but seems like the right thing to do.
