Vacation 2009, in Pictures

Well, it only took me a week to get around to doing this... :-)

We split the drive down into two days. It went pretty well... lots of stops, but not too much complaining. Although, I did get some of this:




Disneyland: lots of people. Lots of walking. We discovered that Coralie likes roller coasters. Keelan, however, not so much. He enjoyed It's a Small World/hell and the Nemo ride(once he got over his fear of the loud noises).

Can't go to Disneyland without getting an ear hat:

Unfortunately for us, Keelan refused to walk anywhere outside the hotel room. Fortunately, we had taken our backpack carrier just in case. Although, according to The Husband, it was not any more comfortable than carrying him in your arms. He's just too big now. I resisted renting a stroller, because he's almost four, and he shouldn't be riding in a stroller now, but I saw a lot of 8 year olds in strollers...
The line for the Nemo submarine ride was 45 minutes long. Keelan slept through the entire wait, and woke up right as we were entering the gate. Lucky him:

After two days of aching feet and aimless wandering in Disneyland, we drove down to Sea World.
But not before discovering that our rented Prius had died. Hertz sent out a new car right away, which was (thank God) a Camry. Sadly, it took AAA six hours to coordinate the towing of the Prius. (Boo hiss)
I swallowed my pride and rented a stroller for Keelan. Best money spent on the whole trip. No aching back!

So, there it is. A (comparatively) short recap of our vacation to Disneyland. It was not a lot of fun for me, but that was mainly because-
A. My allergies went off the charts and I felt crappy all week (thank you, smog!)
B. I just don't like California.

At any rate, the kids had a good time, as did my husband. Although, after this he is no longer allowed to choose vacation destinations. :-)
