So we tried to winter over one of those fuzzy teddy bear caterpillars... Coralie named it 'Steve'. Wellll... Steve didn't make it through the winter. Probably due to not enough leaf matter in his container. Anyway, regarding the caterpillar formerly known as Steve, I had the following conversation with my son today:
KP- 'I picked Steve's eye off today'
Me- 'You picked his eye off??'
KP- 'Yeah, I picked his eye off. I didn't want sun to get in his eye, so I picked it off.'
Me- 'Umm, ok then.'
This does not bode well for Steve The Worm, which Coralie brought home from school this week from a school lesson on worms. :-)
