I've had so many things rolling around in my head the past few days, I just haven't been able to pull anything coherent together for a post...
Keelan had his 1 year checkup today... by some miracle, he is now 20 lbs 13 oz, and is therefore ready to be forward facing in his carseat. I know some moms say keep them rear facing as long as possible, but y'all, he *hates* looking at the back of the seat. So this weekend, we will be turning that seat around!
He's 30 inches long now, and kinda has a big head (70th percentile--must mean he's a genius LOL). His right eye turns in, although the pediatrician couldn't trigger it during her office exam, so on her suggestion I'm going to have an opthalmologist check it out. He doesn't really say 'mama' or 'dada' yet, but he can make the sounds and his social interactions are otherwise normal. She wants him off the bottle by 15 months... he's down to about two a day, so now with the ok to give him regular milk, I don't think it will be too hard. He's due for a follow up with the neurosurgeon for his spina bifida in a couple of months. Three shots today, which left the Little Dude mighty pissed off... nurse said it was probably the MMR, I guess that one hurts the most. :-(
The prez of the preschool called me today to tell me what my parent job is... 'PCPO Rep' and keeper of the bulletin boards in the school. He wasn't exactly sure what 'PCPO' stood for LOL... I looked online, it's 'Parent Child Preschools of Oregon'. I read the job description, it doesn't look too bad. I have to go to meetings and stuff, and put things on the bulletin boards.
It hasn't been a very good food day today, I ate out twice, and although I didn't totally go off the deep end I still didn't make the best choices I could have. I feel myself slipping, food-wise, and I really have to get back on track. I've been really stressed out lately, and feeling a little bit down, so I've lost my focus. We'll see what zee scale say on Sunday.
I've been having weird lower abdominal pains, and an odd sensation of fullness when I lay on my stomach. It's also painful when my kids climb on my abdomen. The pain feels not like menstrual cramps, but very similar to labor pain, which is *totally* weird. My boss (who just had surgery this week to have her plumbing removed because of fibroids) mentioned she had this sensation prior to her fibroid diagnosis... I am not sure that is my problem though, my exams have always been normal. I'm thinking that next week I may call the OB/GYN & see what they say. Mainly because I am in a medical family and sometimes I think I know a little too much LOL.
