Sad But True

My daughter does, in fact, have lice. I've spent the past few days trying to eradicate it so she can go to school tomorrow, because she and I both will go stark raving mad if she has to spend one more day away from school! So far, I have done almond oil, olive oil with neem oil spray, vinegar, and pure unrefined neem mixed with olive oil, and blow drying. Mixed results, which is disappointing because neem smells TERRIBLE. Like rotten garlic. (P.U.) It didn't kill all of the bugs, but we've been combing like mad so I think we got most of them out anyway. Tomorrow we'll have to wash her hair again in the morning because even after two washes her hair is still oily and stinks like neem. We'll comb her some more after that and keep our fingers crossed. I do have a bottle of Rid, but I'm hoping to not have to use it. Nasty stuff, it is. Even though neem oil stinks, at least it's not toxic.
